Just wondering if anyone has lost the strip that goes on top of the windscreen there runs horizontally across the top of the windscreen my first one flew off about 2 months into ownership when my wife was driving home she heard some flapping pulled over it and was half hanging on so she pulled it off the car and put it in the back and they then replaced that one under warranty then just yesterday driving home in the pouring rain we heard a flap on the roof and went what was that opened my window to have a feel and just as i went yeah thats it another one flew away as i was on the highway in pouring rain couldn't be bothered to go back and chase it.
But wondering has anyone else had any problem with theirs?

No Nat,
seems the gutter strips hold it in a bit too, if theses were out then maybe its more vulnerable to fly off...otherwise drop your speed from in excess of 200kph :o

Haha certainly wasn't from excessive speed yesterday was just cruising on 110kmh I'm not sure if it was from driving in the rain for 2 days straight but looks like ill have to chase another one up!

A few of us have had the windscreen side strips come adrift when a truck buffets the car at 110 plus. I had new clips put on mine and no more problem. If I was you I would make sure that all of the clips are in place and replace them anyway so that they have full grip on the plastic strips. There is probably one missing or they are weakened due to being unclipped too often, thus enabling this to happen. In my case there was one missing.

Cheers thanks for that I'm thinking thats maybe what could have happened extensive rain travel all day and the road was flat out with trucks so that could be it i might have a look at those clips and so forth before i chase up another strip!

Nat, out of interest, do you put the car through automatic car washes?

Nah it's never been through them and only hand washed weekly.
