What are these? any ideas??

I was having a look under the front seats of the car today & saw these, does anyone know what they are/do?

The silver case is under the passenger seat but the black plastic ones are under both the drivers & passenger seats and you can see the Ford logo on it.

There was also a empty space next to the case with the Jaguar/LR logo, wonder what that spec is for.....

One has to do with the stereo, heated/memory/electric seat adjuster may be the other??

I gather the silver case may be for the sound system, but the other two I don't know, mine doesn't have heated etc seats. Although I read somewhere on the UK site, some one claimed the heater pads for the seats are in every front seat, whether they are wired up is a different matter.

I thought they were to do with crash protection. Sensors to measure weight on the seat and position of car so crash computers know which airbags to fire and in what sequence. My SE has no electrowizardry in the seats or fancy stereo, yet has same boxes in pic # 2
But I could be wrong.

I'm pretty sure all have the amp under the seat, the sizes may differ for the level of stereo.

I don't know about the other boxes, I've never actually looked under the seat other than to vacuum the carpet, so never really looked long enough to say.

Yeah but it was Ford money that stopped Jaguar from getting chucked away and getting them back in business.
