I hope to wet a line this weekend.
Due to Deb having her illness Easter away didnt happen.
Heading up the coast to Geraldton tommorow, mainly for a spell away. Not taking the boat,I have packed a beach rod and 2 small rods just in case we get chance to wet a line.
Tommorow afternoon will be the best of the weather, will see what saturdays cold front/storms bring.
Would be nice to have a fish,if it doesnt happen it wont be the end of the world.

I've always loved beach or rock fishing. Haven't done much of either in years unfortunately.

Mind you a couple of weekends ago just went down the road to the East St jetty with my 6yr old son and he caught a nice bream on his first cast and I thought we'd better make some more time for it!

I grew up in Freo.
My Bro and I spent lots of time fishing,we had trailers for our pushbikes to cart rods and tackle. We used to fish Point Walter,Blackwall Reach,East St Jetty,Old Traffic Bridge,Freo Harbour,South Mole,Fising Boat Harbour,South Beach and Power Station beach.VERY fond memories.

Andy,I'm at Safety Bay,if you are ever over this way drop me a line and you can borrow my Hobie for a few hours to have a fish,it's a bit windy ATM,I was on the seaward side of Penguin island yesterday, the first time in 7 weeks because of ross river and the waves were big enough to get the mirage drive out of the water, real good fun. All the best Andy, have fun mate.
Time away, even if you dont get to fish is always good.
You guys deserve a bit of free time for what you have been through in the past year.
