I'd say so mate

They're just passing Cape Town - Not long.. Looks like it will dock at Fremantle a couple of days early (8th)

I will find the link to the harbour cameras (unless someone has it handy) and you may even see it rolling off....

Thats pretty impressive. Seems funny that they offload everything in WA. Must be cheaper to truck them the rest of the way.

Well the Asian Vision docked at Fremantle yesterday and left port this morning headed for Port of Melbourne.

5 days to make it there and then however long to clear and drop to MLR for pre-delivery..

Not long now :)

It was a fair bit later arriving in Freo than its ETA of the 8th! Or did they have to drop anchor and wait to get into port..?

Looking forward to my 130 showing up too

It's a long wait, isn't it, but it'll be worth it.
ULR did a brilliant job on Pre Delivery of "Gracie", our 90. They took pics of her when she arrived, and also of when she was going through the P.D. process, having accessories fitted etc.

I will laugh if I actually see a grey 130 roll onto the wharf. Although, its probably not the only one on the ship. Pity the ship is around the wrong way to see much!

I wonder, seeing the Asian Vision is loaded with vehicles from England, i.e. not your usual japanese whitegoods, so could include things like Jags, Rollers, Bentley's, that they are offloaded into that warehouse instead...

Pickles2
17th October 2014, 07:37 AM
I tracked "Gracie" (our 90) when I had the shipping details, I have records of when shipping was booked, when she was loaded on the ship, where the ship went before it arrived in Aus, & believe it or not, I googled the name of the ship, & got all the details on that, when built, type of engines, tonnage etc!!!....all good fun.

That maybe we just won't see it - and it is in the warehouse.

Tombie and Emma called in to my workshop yesterday (Pleasure to meet you guys) in a very shiny new 90.
130kms old and it already has a bull bar fitted :D

I can honestly say it's one of the best looking 90's I've seen. The combination of Keswick Green and the Black Pack looks awesome, in fact I would seriously consider this colour combo for my future project car. It looks even better in the flesh than in pictures.

I wont steal Tombie's thunder by posting a whole pic, but here's a bit of a teaser, I'm sure there will be a lot of pics to come from their trip home to SA.

Cheers, Murray

Have you modified the passenger side rear mud flap, or is this a new style?

Product of its environment.. ;)

Strong cross offset head wind, travelling on the +side of speed limit just twists the thing up and into the line of the exhaust!

City slicker versions dont suffer the issue as they dont spend hours on end at speed :cool:

I like the black headlight surrounds and grille. I have to admit to being (seemingly one of the few...) who isn't a fan of the keswick green, but I'll admit that does look damn good.

Yes, & I believe it's a problem peculiar only to the 90.
We've done a bit over 10ks (mostly country cruising 80/110kph)in Gracie, & the left rear mudflap is showing evidence of "heat" around the top edge of the mudflap cutout.
Have you got a "cure" in mind?!

Bolt a piece of stainless flat to along the bottom of the mudflap to hold it down?

Something like that... Was going to profile cut a piece to follow the curve (up higher) so it stays true.

It's the twisting action that puts the edge in the exhaust line.

OR I may reposition the pipe :)

I'd thought of "profiling" a piece of steel around the curve, but, if you did that, wouldn't the steel get hot, affecting the rubber it's attached to, and as the flap moves upward in the draft, the rubber "edge" would still be in the path of the exhaust,.....but if you did make something, I'd love to look at it.
(Our 90 is Keswick too!). Pickles.

Tombie
17th November 2014, 07:20 AM
Thanks Pete.

The 90 was collected around 10:30 am. We then drove to Murrays place near Colac and with 130km on the clock....

Undid 6 screws, undid 6 bolts, drilled 2 holes out to a larger size (lower ones) - Murray then painted them with rust guard for me (I'm pedantic).

We then lifted the bar on, fitted 6 bolts, fitted the grill back on; 6 screws.

Had a chat, paid him, took some photos and then drove to Adelaide.

He's looking after the factory bumper till I go East to pick up my D4 (the bar wouldn't fit in the 90 to come home) so I will collect it next week.

:)
