What's that? The rego or just the TAC (Transport Accident Commission) charge? Reg on mine is $720 per year which the TAC charge - that is the main component.

If you live in Sydney you pay the Sydney tax because you blokes are always having accidents.
If you are an old codger and live outside the metro area like beautiful Avoca beach and have a clean driving record, it is $354.

Ah - ok then. I'm in a medium risk zone, so my TAC charge only is $435.60. But even in the City it tops out at $487.30

Just received my green slip renewal... $600. What do you guys pay? JimDon't you use the comparison website each year?
Motor Accidents Authority - Green Slip Price Guide Form (http://prices.maa.nsw.gov.au/)
I've found some years certain insurers like what I drive & are 'cheap'. Other years they decide to hate my cars & someone else becomes 'cheap'.

Just rang NRMA and asked about the cost. It appears that they had the wrong rego number so having sorted that out I got my green slip for $483. A big drop from $608.
