A great job volvo164 style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

I like the idea of an internal roof rack,, for bedding and stuff?

how do you get access to the crates with the lid on???

Hi all,
The lids still have to have 2 holes drilled for fingers so i can lift them out.
The crates/boxes just slide out. i made enough gap to slide them out as they have a lip on the bottom.
I'll take some pix tonight of them in Action......

The timber is old Crap, so i'll sand it then carpet them when i get back from the High country.

All i need to do is finalise the gas bottle holder and a few brackets ect...

I'll put the cage up in tonight and take a happy snap.

I have 3 of those cages for sale also. Cheap Cheap Cheap...$100 each.

Regards
Steve

Looking good mate, do you know roughly how much it all cost, cause i want something similar in mine. Minuss your labor cost of course, we never factor that in cause we do it for the love of it. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif Matt

Cost.....mmmmm
ok following materials used.
7x 6m lengths of 20mmx20mm Square tube @$2.50 per meter
1x 6m length of 25mm Right angle @$3.50 per meter
1x 6m length of 50mmx4mm flat plate @$4 per meter
1x 6m length of 20mmx2mm flat plate @$3 per meter
Timber was free. Hunt around you will find it free. Industrial estates throw it out. MDF, Ply ect.
Assort bolts screws ect. $20
Misc hardware, hinges, table stays ect $40
Storage bins $6 each x4

Roof cages $100 each. I have 3 left.

Not cheap, but it will look great and it will be strong and usefull.

I still have to wire and plumb it.

Steve

Hey guys i've finished for Now.....
All i have to do over the next 17 years is carpet it and paint it.

I've now got to the stage where i'm over making all the storage
When i post the pix you will see why i'm over it....

I have rear storage in 2 parts for 2 seats and 5 seats.
Front storage for when it is a 2 seater.

Top Cage in the inside with tiedowns

Rear Power for Fridge and Accessorys...

A Rear Tarp for the back door so if its wet we can still have a cuppa....

I cut the front Bully bar for the HiLift.... now i need to mount it.

I'm over it...
