G'day,

Sorry for posting here as well as the 'Markets - Tools' section, but I'm strapped for time. Doing an engine swap next weekend, doing the timing belt while I'm at it. I'm ordering all my parts tomorrow (Monday 29th), and will be ordering the 300tdi timing tool kit unless I find one before then (so pretty much today/tonight).

Happy to PAY to borrow for the weekend - also paying for postage both ways of course, but would be happier buying outright. If you're happy to lend/sell, send me a text and I'll get back to you ASAP - 0412--972--810 (Lachlan).

Cheers!

Timing pins,
You could easily make your own.

Also post number 2, by Blknight redirects to a pretty good instruction manual sort of thing that he's posted for doing a timing belt, plenty of pictures too.

Mike.

You only need the injector pump locking tool, in a pinch you can use a drill bit or a cut down bolt.

I've got a thread on doing the timing belts so.ehwere I. Here that will help.

The proper tools make it easy and more co venient but it can be done with no timing tools if the belt hasn't snapped.

G'day Dave,
Yeah I've read your tutorial on the timing belt replacement, but I'm going to be very pressed for time and want everything to go as smoothly as possible. ;)

Also I won't have all my tools there, so won't be able to knock anything up quickly.
