G'Day All,
I picked up my 2014 Puma 90 on the 19th of July, and it's had 3 trips in for warrentee since then. All little things, but still a pain in the backside.... Nothing big, just little things....
 Blue tooth microphone didn't work.
Fuel breather hose split at tank.
Head light tilt motor/solenoid/thingy position controller failed.
Now I noticed that the heater control knob turns through 3 notches before it adjusts the control valve, which it didn't do originally. That means the heater is still on slightly when it is supposed to be off completely. With summer coming up, I will want to get that fixed.....
Does this sound normal?
What have others found going wrong with their toys?
Or is it just mine? It must be a Monday assembly..... :-)
Cheers,
Phill.

Sounds more or less normal. Being hand-built, some Defenders seem to be ok from new and some like my old one needed a bit of TLC under warranty to sort out the final few things. At least I found that Land Rover were good with honouring their warranty commitments.

Agree. Normal fine tuning.

I think it all sounds normal, whilst not ideal LR will sort it for you..

Normal, you still have the front wheel hub seals to go:wasntme: and turbo hose but I would expect they fixed that before it was delivered.
Sounds like your heater wire has come off the dial at back or its jumped off the guide.
I haven't had any of your problems but maybe its a year model thing.

The heater issue is most likely the cable end under the bonnet controlling the heater valve. I bet the tiny metal clip that holds the outer sheath has popped off or slipped.

Normal. It certainly doesn't make it a lemon. In my experience most of your annoying problems will be sorted within the warranty period and Land Rover will have no problem honouring it.

I have a '12 build
and my car doesn't have blue teeth, nor does it have a dog (no woofer at all)
But I assume I can buy some false teeth for it...
thought about something such as this...
Rockville RVDG7M 7" CAR Navigation DVD Receiver Iphone Bluetooth Backup Camera | eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Rockville-RVDG7M-7-Car-Navigation-DVD-Receiver-iPhone-Bluetooth-Backup-Camera-/301309026979?pt=US_Video_In_Dash_Units_w_GPS&hash=item46276ae2a3)
a number of birds with one stone... anyone had one of these type and are they OK in a deefer?.
(ps the rest is just a deefer! tell the dealer they'll fix it)

What !!! Do these Leak in heavy rain as well ???Only the pre-2025 models. Apparently those made after 2025 should be fairly well sealed.

My series 12 only leaks on SWMBO's side of the Tardis, so it's not really a big deal to me!

Thanks Gents,
Your assurances have reassured me that it's not just a monday car.... :-)
I have to admit that I was quite surprised when I could find NO water leaks..... Yet.....
My old series's would be turning up their noses at my new toy. I reckon they's think I was getting spoilt... And soft....
I have to say that, with out the sliding window, it's not as nice having the elbow out the window..... It just feels wrong some how.... But in my Disco, it feels normal.... Probably because it's more car like.....
I have been comfortable in recieving the warrentee work, and not had one iota of greif about the issues being fixed.
Thanks Gents (and any ladies that replied that I didn't notice were ladies). :-)
Cheers,
Phill.
