Hey guys as the title state is it possible. From photos it looks to me like the tailgate in the rag tops are wider than a standard defender rear door. Does anyone know if it's possible?

Cheers in advance

Maybe this is what you really should look at: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/new-south-wales-act/18760-klr-automotive-south-windsor.html#post2234735

Someone on here has retrofitted a single cab roof onto there GS for winters. Can't remember who it was sorry but they may chime in...

EDIT: try here if interested in the truck cab

I am keen on doing this mod to my FFR. The biggest issue is finding a second hand single cab and roof.
They are a bit like hen's teeth at the moment so if anybody has one please let me know. They are worth good money.

Certainly possible. There was a Perentie for sale on Gumtree in Tassie that had a defender roof and wagon sides. It didn't have a rear door but as Jeff notes the standard wagon door fits. You could also do a series style clamshell door arrangement; that might be easier.

Cheers guys, as cool as the rag tops are I just don't see them being the most practical, but knowing that this is possible is defintely getting me keen. I've always wanted an Isuzu powered rover.
