This is a 5.8L Supercharged Ford Escort RS2000, the same as mine, except mine doesnt have a V8 in it.

If you want a car that yellow - get a Defender 90.

I would love one of those to, but Ford really hit the nail on the head with the BA, damn its a fine looking car.

And yes they do go bloody well for a two litre. I am thinking about a Ford Focus Zetec engine for mine, and do away with the carby 2ltr. Apparently it is a very cheap conversion. Matt

I hope so, the Zetec will just make it more driveable everyday, the carby and the old points system is just a pain in the arse. Matt

Its in pretty good nick, there is very little if any rust that i can find. However i have begun remiving the paint etc for a bare metal respray, and a couple of the panels are pretty beaten up under all the bog some tool smeared on there. It will take some work, but it will end up looking like a million bucks. I will see if i can get some pics on. Matt

AAAHH for speed give me a motorbike any day, much bigger adrenalin rush and at a fraction of the price and FORD don't make or have anything to do with motorcycles, it's probably why they are so reliable style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

i got a original rx2 serIII 12a ready for resto......................

ive had capellas ever since i got my licence.
the only reason i got a new car (lurch) is because i didnt have time to change a head gasket. plus the wife whinging about my always owning old cars. i had to buy a NEW car sooooo............ i got one that LOOKS old.
she was impressed!! welcome lurch.

after the rego ran out on the capella it sat there and started to get cancer.
after about six months of this my cousin wanted the RX2 but that wasnt gonna happen.........so i said take the capella. its almost ready for rego now...rust has been fixed, engine has been changed with my old one(bored out 60 thou),and the brakes need to be checked...then its blue slip time. both of them are the series III '76 with figure 8 tail lights and pointy front end with dual headlights.

now i got a mortgage bigger than ben hur and a 4wd i need to do up.
RX2 is still waiting...............

No BMW's amongst that lot. Now there's a funny breed of people. BMW riders are the Volvo owners of dthe motor cycle trade.
And Harley Davidson owners........ major identity issues there.
The song by Paul Norton where he sings "bought a Harley changed my behavior" couldn't be closer to the truth. Many a mild mannered accountant going through a mid life crisis has bought a Harley, a couple of weeks later he's got the cut of shirt, fingerless gloves and on his way to the tattoo shop. 8) 8) or tosser style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

If i was into bikes, i wouldnt be riding one of the Jap blowfly things, you need somthing which sounds like a real bike, like a Ducati or a triumph, now i will agree, they are nice bikes. Matt

I met a bloke at work, he was just returning from a 2 year ride on his BMW all around South America (Che Guevara style). What an adventure :!: And when he rides the bike here at home, he'll be able to remember where it's been with him. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

I went through the same thing with the escort, i contemplated selling it so that atleast some one could do it up. In the end i decided to keep it, as it took me so long to find one. I have started to do it, but things have come to a stop, money issues. Matt
