I have removed side steps due to corrosion, the brackets are ok and intend to replace the longitudinal round bars with 40 mm plated RHS, The front of these bars terminate directly behind the front mud flaps. One existing round bar each side curl up at the end. I intend to dispense with this as I am using square section. Am I missing something ? Is there a reason for it curling up?
