G'day Guys,

We are currently going through the range of camper trailers available before we buy a brand new one of our own - currently looks like a Goldstream Sovereign:

http://www.goldstreamrv.com.au/sovereign_ext1.jpg

But we wanted to see if we liked the camper trailer concept, so when at last years Central Coast 4WD and Fishing show we got talking to a bloke who rents out camper trailers.

They currently have:

Jayco Finch / Jayco Hawk / Jayco Eagle - all on road and a Camp-o-matic "Getaway" - off road for rentals.

We have just returned from a week at Coffs using their brand new Jayco Eagle and loved every minute of it - especially when it rained and the whole site was under water style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

Can recommend Habitat to anyone - nice friendly people, good equipment, as for the Jayco the quality has a lot to be desired - but this is a buget spec set up.

Just north of Terrigal.

I heard a rumour that Camp-o-matic have gone into receivership :?

LRH -- do you want to borrow 'Iggy' for a run when he arrives?

Shhhhh - dont let the misses see that offer, as she wants the Ultimate and has done since the first time she saw one about 6 years ago!!!

This is interesting.....I learnt very quickly that there were certain arguments I was never going to win (ie; rooftop vs trailer), so I rolled over. In hindsight I am glad that I did.

Why don't you want to go down the Ultimate path?

My wife won't go camping so it isn't a problem to me.

If Mrs LRH sees this you are in seriously deep do-dos!!!

But, getting back to it, if you were on your lonesome, you would not need a camper

A second hand Ultimate will be the same, if not cheaper than the ones you have mentioned. Don't buy one new. They reckon about 15 a year are coming up on the second hand market (which Ultimate controls pretty effectively).

From what I have seen, (I saw No.1 or No2?) when I was down their being serviced and they really hold together well.

PS....without MrsLRH who are you going to enjoy it all with?

Makes it all pointless!
