Aftermarket Terrain response display?

I have a 2005 Disco 3 HSE with the Hi-ICE mid spec stereo I believe but I do not have a the factory sat nav screen.

Is there any way of getting an aftermarket screen to display the 4x4 terrain response information? (I.e. suspension height, front wheel direction etc)?

I don't believe that can be achieved. You can retrofit the nav system but that is a big big job. 4x4 info is nice to have but not really hugely useful.

Just do what I've done in mine and install a Hema Navigator separately on a windscreen suction cap mounting bracket - then you can see both the navigation and the terrain response info both at the same time.

Having said that - I've never used the terrain response information screen. :D

I've had both the VMS and the Hema in mine - the VMS has a bigger screen (good for old buggers like me with failing eyesight), but not as good in the city for street navigation as the Hema. I believe there's a new model Hema out (I have the Hema 6, have seen a Hema 7 advertised), don't know what if any improvements there are over the previous model. I've been happy with mine since buying it.

I use an iPad with HEMA and memory map (1:25k topo) held by the passenger - it's great ! For road nav I use my iPhone and google maps streaming instructions to the audio via a parrot thingo. Harsh on data usage but works good.

I use the same method. Especially distracting when navigation system has good legs and is wearing short shorts.
