Hello folks,

Just wondering if anyone has the iPhone 6 yet and if so, any issues with connecting it up via blue tooth or otherwise?

Google it and you will find many vehicle manufacturers are having problems with the iPhone 6 & + but not only them but any phone running iOS 8 too.

This topic on the UK site:
DISCO3.CO.UK - View topic - iPhoney 6, 6+ & iOS8 D4 problems (http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic117893.html?highlight=iPhone+6+bluetooth)

I'm using a Parrot handsfree and are having problems too. :(

Doesn't surprise me!

Still keen to hear any feedback from a "trusted" audience of local Aulro-ians.

We have both updated our phones to iOS 8 and my MY13 D4 HSE has no problems at all unless someone else has but I've had none at all, I've got a 5s with the iOS 8.02 update.

I have Cloud turned on but only sync a few things, addresses, notes etc. Not large files like music or photos. I think it is also set so it is only active when in a wifi zone, ie not in the car.

While the car has a dedicated IPhone connection and it worked well, I have changed to a Sony Xperia Compact (Android). It is waterproof, which is useful for the environments I play in (flyfishing). I have found it interfaces just as well.

Just thought I would let you know there are alternatives that work.

No bluetooth in my D3 :-(( The one option I should have gotten but decided at last moment not to, mainly due to ex wife nagging about costs.

Don't suppose there is a good option to fit blue tooth integration is there? I have the premium Sat Nav system fitted.

Good grief. Is this a Land Rover forum or a my phone's better than your iPhone forum?

I have what I think is a genuine compatibility question that someone might be able to confirm. When my iPhone (6 Plus, but I reckon the issue will be the same with any iPhone) is plugged into either the "USB" or "iPod" USB connectors in the centre console, it flip flops between IPod and Bluetooth for music streaming.

Streaming works fine with just Bluetooth but, and here comes the geek but, the voice activation on the vehicle unit is next to useless and "hey Siri" only works when the phone is plugged into power.

It's in an MY12 SDV6, so it's the newer system.

Anyone else seen this? Any ideas?

Thanks...

Can't help either. I use an iPod classic that stays in the car for music. I plug the phone into the usb port for charging the phone only. I cannot swap between both for music unless I use Bluetooth on the phone, but I never do.

Siri is not super reliable in hands free mode we argue a lot. Dictating text messages takes so long and gets me so agitated I wonder if it's any safer than typing. It is pretty good for reading messages though and that does help.
