Already posted in technical forum, thought I would try here as well!
I have a 2004 defender 110 td5 pick up that I have converted to a tipper.I am now uprating suspension to handle the weight I put in it.
I have found Whiteline swaybars rear blr44 and front blf42.Seems a good idea as they are listed as heavy duty and the rear one I think is thicker than the genuine land rover ones.Problem is this, some places say they will fit 92 onwards models, some say 92-99.
As far as I know, all other makes of swaybar fit all defender models,so I am guessing they must be the same underneath.Just need to be sure before spending out. Also, would bushes, brackets, links etc be standard land rover fitment?
Can anyone advise me and does anybody know if Whiteline are a good make?
The truck will get a lot of heavy use,on road only.I am in the uk.
Appreciate any help (my first land rover).
Thanks.

I just had a look at the website. It looks ok but I've personally not used their products. Maybe contact them for clarification although it does give the option of two model year periods.

I've got to ask though, can't you get a similar or better product for a Defender cheaper in the UK? Most of us order from the UK as its so much cheaper.

I'm from Somerset and I used that landrover specialist near the motorway in Devon. I think it's called Devon 4x4 but I can't honestly remember but I have seen their add in Landrover monthly. They were always very reasonable and know there stuff.

Cheers

Thanks for checking the website.I tried emailing them, got an automated reply saying someone would get back to me but still waiting.Tried asking some of their dealers, was told as far as they know its 92 to 99 only.
Reason for my interest,I have been offered the parts in uk as new old stock cheaper than used land rover parts. Also supposed to be heavier duty.
Hd swaybars new are as expensive here for one bar with no fittings as a complete front and back new genuine land rover set up with all fittings.
I guess the genuine land rover stuff would be as strong as I need as I will be fitting wolf springs.Think now this might be the way to go,to remove all doubts about fitment, quality.
Thanks for the Devon 4x4 tip,I will check them out.
