Hi all,
I'm about to buy my first Defender (97 TDi) and would like to hear from anyone who can recommend a good place (or person) to service it on the NSW Central Coast.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much guys.

Hi again,
Further to my last post I have now bought the 1997 Defender (and loving it ...) and would really like some advice on where I might get it serviced locally(ish) without driving to Sydney or Newcastle.
Happy to hear of any local tips - positive or negative.
Thanks guys

DIY :), it's not difficult
The 300tdi + R380 is all fairly straightforward stuff - there'll be ample advice from this site if you need it.
By servicing it yourself you at least know that it gets done & you get to know it a bit better.

Hey HopeFull,
You won't get better than English Auto Service at Tuggerah. They have serviced all my Disco's and my Defender ever since the warranty ran out.
Gary has been around Landy's forever and there nothing he doesn't know.

I get Peril serviced at Terrigal Mechanical in Aston Road at Erina.
Rick is a top mechanic, a 4WD'er, very experienced, reasonably priced and honest.

Thanks very much to all you guys who replied. It has given me a couple of local mechanics to try out and will let you know how it goes!
Much appreciated!
