Why do these Ultimate Campers (built in Batemans Bay NSW) always look better behind a LR product.

Geez what ever happened to Landrover owners being able to do for themselves, my 20yo Isuzu County cost me almost $22,000 when purchased in 1990, it has a Glind H2o hot water system with home made brass fitings to connect a 10 metre hose to a water supply, dual batteries in the same box as the original + battery switch and sensing device to charge the battery of the camper van that I tow occassionally(Ultra lightweight sleeps 4 magic little van pull up anywhere and you can be in bed in less than 3 minutes no kidding and it has L/r County wheels on it), Solar panel (80 watts) on the sloping section of the roof to keep the battery charged that the fridge is running off whilst you are stationary with it's regulator and battery switch mounted behind the LHS rear door, 2 large drawers in the rear allowing either 4 jerry cans water/fuel with it's own securing devices, storage for an axe, small shovel, (I could also put these on the bonnet just like the army I have spare tool holders but I have mounted my own spare tyre carrier there instead, 2 spare tyres) H/duty gloves beside the sliding drawers, storage in front of the drawers as well, remove the rear seat and bolt into the same position a frame that has a separate cover made from marine ply and covered with auto type carpet with a couple of slotted holes for seat belt type material to hold a folded full size mattress (unfolded it fills the rear of the l/r body) this allows for gear to be stored underneath the frame access thru the R&L side doors, Engel fridge( 30yo and never given any trouble other than breaking a fuse holder), various 12V sockets (flush mount 240V can't remember their proper names) for running the Engel and remote flourescant lights, behind the drivers position is an overhead rack from R-L which holds all manner of things (light of course), internal mount for 12V oscilating fan (4 swmbo) internal flouro, external worklight with control switch, those yanks thought they had the mickey mouse possie for the cb well big bloody deal I've been mounting radios in the same possie for almost 20 years, in my L/r we have Codan HF, 128 ch Motorola UHF + 2 hand held units, 40ch CB, 88ch Low band VHF mounted where they have their cb, Magellan GPS, rear door has a gas strut to keep it open and it does even against the rear swingaway carrier that I made no matter what side slope you are on and there are probably other things that I can't think of at the moment but it didn't cost me what it would cost for that NAS L/r, yeah and fair enough I haven't got a Gal chassis but we dont really need it here in Oz anyway unless you live on the beach and you are too lazy to wash it down after use anyway enough of my ranting 8) cheers Dennis
PS forgot to add we have a Thomas Bullet tyre pump mounted Lhs under seat with it's electrical switch mounted next to it and it is not hindered by the frame that bolts into the back of the vehicle also on the swing away tyre carrier I have a mount for a 9kg gas bottle, Hi-lift jack mounted off the steps for the roof rack it's a TJM one the few things that I didn't make, almost forgot a small bracket mounted off the inside of the roof to hold 3 fishing rods

You're lucky that you are able to do all this sort of stuff for yourself. Many of us (well, me) can't or if I could the hire cost of the equipment could make it uneconomical.

Feel free to build stuff for my Ute, however if you want.

This is Noddy's vehicle "Kimba" and the camper trailer "Iggy"

That it belongs to a member of the AULRO forum - dolfn . I've seen it at his place.

Not sure if that photo was taken before the suspension lift.
