I was told this today and thought I should share......

If you are being chased by a police dog, DO NOT be tempted to run along the balance beam, dodge through the witches hats and jump through the flaming hoop....

the dog is trained for this....

The most effective way to disable a police dog is to feed him a lawbreaker style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

Or always have a cruiser driver on hand to feed him whilst you get away. Matt

8) i'd hate to be the copper who helps train the dog, you know, the fella with the thing on his arm with the dog attached to by its fangs,
especially at a crime scene when the dog copper tells the dog to 'kill'
how many cpos get bitten by the dog, it seems the dogs are taught to attack someone in a coppers iniform

There was a show on Animal Planet a while ago, and the dogs are trained to respond to set words, like "find" "Body", "Chase" etc, the person or what they are wearing is not a factor. But i see what you are saying, the dog is always trained to attack the suspect wearing a uniform. Matt

You think that's bad... I understand that cops who are trained to use 'pepper spray' (active ingredient capsicein) must first be subjected to it so they are aware of it's effects. 8O Ouch :!:

I hope they don't do the firearms course the same way.....

Got a mild dose of Pepper spray once. Was out for dinner with the lady when some gangs started a fight with each other. One of them let go with the spray which driffted over us. Even from a distance of 30m it still packed a punch. Not a very pleasant experience. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif
