Hi folks, I think this subject has been covered before but I couldn’t find the posting.
It’s interesting to see how often you some person or persons of media note, are seen arriving or departing in a Landy.
I noticed a few time over the last week that Leyton Hewitt driving up in black RR and there is a music video clip running at the present, from the States where a singer trying to out smart the media, gets into one side of a limo, out the other side, through a doorway and then makes her escape in another black RR.
A few years ago, when Barbara Strisand was here and there was a write up about how her and her husband hired a Disco and drove themselves from Sydney to Melbourne.
Anyone else noticed any other Landy media appearances.
Cheers

Hi Ace, It’s surprising, considering how many different makes of 4WDs there are, at how many times Landies appear in TV shows as well.

The Sopranos had an RR in it for ages and they have just had a rerun of Volcano and there’s a doctor driving around in a Disco in that.

The Yanks seam to have a fetish for LR in TV shows but also I saw a French movie on World Movies the other night and it had a new RR running around in it.

Every time there is a need for the UN to get involved somewhere, there is always a load of Discos running around with UN badges on them, mind you you do see a few other non LR vehicles to but who notices them.
Cheers

Was watching the Village on DVD on the weekend. A nice 90 gets a bit of coverage towards the end. No action shots just stationary, however it looks the goods.

Bumped the "Landrover Sightings" thread to top of the page. That thread is the one I think you are looking for Drivesafe.

Yeah, you are right, there are quite a few yank movies with land rover products. The best is the James Bond movie The World Is Not Enough- when Bond arrives at the oil pipeline site, there are Landies everywhere, Disco's and fenders. Matt
