Ok People.
Gordon is back in town:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:
A whilst back a bunch of us expressed interest in a AULRO GEO nite.
Gordon tells me he can do a weeknite or sunday arvo.
For me a sunday arvo is the go,as I would have to travel after work and home again during the week:(:(:(:(:(:(
Lets see what the collective mob can sort;););););)

Yeah I'd be keen Andy. I'm already in Perth so a sunday arvo wouldn't be so bad. Hopefully early November?

Ben.

Gordon runs training courses for D3/D4/RRS,has Land Rover factory backing.Does the technical/theory course and later you can opt to do a practical course.
His course includes a comprehensive booklet on info and settings that are not covered in the owners handbook.
I have known Gordon for quite a whilst,been on several Harvey trips with him.He also competed in off road gymkanas in his D3 against heavily modified machines.He knows his stuff.

We just need Gordon to post some dates I guess.
Make sure you let Brendan know.

I'm interested and once there are dates available might be able to gather up up to 3 D4 mates.

Hi all,

Just a correction to Andy's post - we work with the WA dealers, not Land Rover direct!

I think a Sunday afternoon is good for all - I'd propose either the 16th or 30th November. The seminar is 3 ~ 3 1/2 hours in duration, so a 2pm start would see us finished by 5:30pm.

The session is broken into 9 sections:

* Intro to the T5 platform and related vehicles
* Overview of T5 versus traditional 4WD's
* Traction control & EAS
* Systems examples
* Terrain Response and driving techniques
* Touring preparation
* Towing
* OBD2/CAN bus/Diagnostics
* Accessories and Modifications

We have a 15 minute intermission, where finger food is served. Venue would be either the Balmoral Hotel Victoria Park, or Belvidere's Tavern Belmont, depending on the chosen date.

Assuming we get a reasonable attendance, the cost could be dropped to $55 each (normally $75).

Cheers,

Gordon

I'm keen too. I'll check the calendar tonight. I want to be ready for hitting the tracks and Beach at Christmas time.

At this stage I'm good for either of those dates Gordon. As soon as you've confirmed a date, I'll book it in to make sure that I don't plan anything else (and tell work that I'm not available to go to site that weekend). :D

I'll also let my boss know - he has recently bought a D4 and said that he would also like to attend.

Cheers .............. BM

If it happens to be the latter date I will come along for a refresher, chin wag and most importantly a cold brew.

Brett...

Edit.....SWMBO is away, but have organised sitter for my two kids if the 16th is a goer.

I'm in for either one of those date also, it's been 4 years since I attended the last one and with going from a sport to a D4 I'm sure I'll learn something new!

It seems I may have overlooked our grand-daughter's Christening on the 30th Nov - so 16th would suit me (and my health) better!

Two here for the 16th. :D

I've booked in the day to make sure I'm not going anywhere else, and I also told Brendan about it - he's keen to attend as well at this stage.

I will be there on the 16th to have a refresher course and meet all of the other guys.

Gordon, do we need to email you with confirmation of attendance or will you just take whoever rocks up?

Hi all,

Ok, 16th November it is. If attendees can email me ( go_experience@yahoo.com ) with their AULRO handle and number of people, I'll send payment details, time and venue info.

Cheers,

Gordon

Are these run regularly? Would love to attend one of these but we're over east for all of November. Any plans for further dates in WA in the new year?
