What's this meant to be connected to?

Yep, time for another round of "what's this meant to do?"

Giving the car a clean underneath and noticed two cables just dangling around drivers side rear wheel. The photos probably aren't the best but would appreciate if any of you have any ideas. Doesn't seem to be anywhere obvious to connect them to.

I'll have a stab and say its for the brake pad low warning. Looks like its near the caliper.....

just went out and looked at mine and the same wire is loose, its the brake pad senser and fits in the caliper, looks like you need to remove the wheel to put it back in.
