As I have previously mentioned Jimmy Salsa (James) came up with the top idea of having a charity auction at our D3/D4/RRS Lithgow weekend.
So we decided to give it a go, Aulro’s charity of choice is the Leukaemia Foundation, so this is the worthy charity that will be receiving all funds raised. The auction will be held on Saturday evening around the camp fire.
Below is a email I received from James who has gone out of his way to get some great gear to auction.
Here is the list of gear that James raised and who donated it;
4WD Industries - Hunter Valley Land Rover Specialists
Have just opened brand new workshop in Maitland NSW.
These guys do all the work on Jimmy Salsa’s RRS and are real guns on problem solving. They get all of their diagnostic gear from the UK so have access to the full range of diagnostic data for Land Rovers.
They have provided the following six items:
1) FREE Evans waterless Coolant System valued at $600

This is the best in the biz - never need to change your coolant again.
2) FREE Snake heavy duty snatch recovery strap valued at $180
This is the one I’d buy if i wasn’t such a skinflint - in fact I nearly kept this for myself I want one so badly ;)
Same as the military spec ones and last so much longer than the standard flat straps (will send pics tonight)
3) FREE Revive Engine kit for turbo diesel Valued at $185 each (x2)

Restores power and helps fuel economy - Anything more than 3 years old could benefit from this.

Normally $2500 including parts and labour
only $2100. (Recommended that you have timing belts done at 160,000kms)

Last but not least Graeme who designed and builds the excellent Llams kits that so many of us have for our D3/D4 and RRS’s has provided one of his Llams kits to be auctioned on the night. Needless to say this will be popular as well.
Personally I would like to thank James, Gordon and Graeme for either arranging or providing these great Land Rover related auction items. Remeber its for a good cause so please support the auction if your attending this weekend.
