I've been shooting with a D7000 and toying with FX for ages.... didn't want to spend at the D800/810 level... and was thinking about D610.

I'm following the Lake Lyell jaunt with a slow trip down through the Brindabellas, Snowy mountains, then down through Omeo and Dargo on the way home... so should have plenty of places to try it out...

Nice camera and good choice of brand.
Match it with good glass and you will have gear for many years to come :)

As others have said..."nice camera"....full frame too!!!!:) I'm a Nikon enthusiast also and have stuck by the Nikon brand for many years. Hope you have fun with your new toy.:D

Damn!.... sorry Ron I only saw this now... I was at Lake Lyell over the weekend with the D3 D4 RRS guys.

I'm in Kosciusko National Park now if you want a slightly longer trip :P

It does make some of my glass a bit short, but this is a 1:1 crop... from way up in a tree... happy enough.

We visited Cowra and the Japanese Gardens last November on the way back from the "Warbirds Downunder" airshow at Temora. Loved the gardens.:D:D
