Sounds like it will be a very good track.

Great idea, but,.......I don't think it will happen.
It's alright for those guys to say that it's been designed by Skaife etc, & I'm sure they COULD build it, & I'm sure they'd like to, because they'll get paid for doing it, just as they got paid for doing the airport.
However, they say they'll "need support from all levels of Govt" etc etc etc, & I don't see that support forthcoming, no matter who's in power.
And even if the track did get built, which I say it won't, where would the "return" come from?
Not gonna happen, IMHO, Pickles.

I gather this will be the hill,,
The unmolested one below Wellcamp Quarry
and anyone want to bet what rock is under THAT hill??:Rolling:
cos the rock out of Wellcamp is on every railway bed in QLD.

The major problems are that a motor racing circuit has to be close enough to a major population centre to attract viable attendance and for travel to and from not to be an inconvenience, the large area of land required has to be affordable, no or few near neighbours to complain about noise and traffic, new residential developments nearby unlikely (they will complain about noise and traffic and attempt to close the track down), CAMS needs to be kept at a distance as their petty bureaucracy, over regulation, and expense crushes any entrepreneurial spirit.
