So staying at bestbrook mountain. Ask the woman what's this 4wd track on your map like- she says it's not to bad, a couple of three point hairpins take it easy you'll be okay BUT don't go past the sign that says no vehicles past this point - it gets a bit hairy after that. So driving driving this is okay - tested the clearance a couple of times - slow & steady it crawls up across diagonal ruts where 2 opposite wheels in the air - quite interesting you could almost pick the computer trying different things to gain traction which it did. Supposed to be a picnic area at the turn around - driving driving we go straight past the picnic area without seeing it (wife later tells me she saw a sign on the ground) and immediately it starts to get a bit more challenging then .... We come to a dip, well this looks steep I think... Drive on, slowly. Get to the bottom of about a 3m dip front parking sensors screaming I think am I about to rip the bumper off at the bottom :0 then start up other side okay that's okay until grrrrr the towbar ploughs in at the bottom. Up and out okay that was alright. Can't see any recent tyre marks on the ground, drive on for a bit - nah this doesn't feel right - find a spot to do a 59 point turn then head back - okay I thought the dip looked steep the other direction, on return it looks like a ******* cliff !! No option so inch down, approaching bottom parking sensors start to scream full bore again - okay mm by mm waiting for a touch - by now wife is stating unequivocally that she doesn't feel "comfortable" - thanks honey maybe next time you'll mention the sign on the ground. At the bottom - no touch, up the other side and not than 10m more along there the ****** sign laying in the ground behind a tree.
Well I must say I am darn impressed with the little car- at the picnic wife said to me - it's a pity we didn't get a photo :0
