Folks,
one of the options I did not get was the integrated bluetooth and have regretted it ever since.

The Vehicle has HiIce, Sat Nav and Premium sound system all integrated.

Now I can get the LR integrated bluetooth kit from a suplier in the UK but have been advised it has to be "enabled" by somebody with the "kit"

I'm assuming this means a laptop/tablet device with the necessary LR software to configure the vehicles system to accept the new bluetooth module.

Does anyone know of a place that has the skills and "kit" to do this?

I'll also post this in the D3 section so don't shoot me mods :-)
cheers
Peter

I'm in the same boat - have all the kit but "Phone not installed" :(

You need at least the factory Bluetooth module, or an aftermarket one - there's a good one that integrates very well here:

mObridge intergrated bluetooth system in Land Rover (http://www.cartronics.co.uk/mObridge-intergrated-bluetooth-system-in-Land-Rover)

Unfortunately neither option is cheap and I'm not sure the mObridge option is even available here in Aust. - let us know how you go!

Rich,
I can get the LR module & full kit from the UK, I can do the install myself however I need somebody who can enable it in the car's HiIce system so it integrates.

So we both need this magician with his magic jelly bean machine.

cheers

I think you could do it with faultmate or auto logic so ring around some landie fixers and see perhaps. Alternatively I have a parrot bt thingo (old one) that works ok - does calls and stuff and also streams bt audio from google maps to the head unit like the factory nav. Possibly cheaper not as oem but mine is pretty ok. The LR specific cable for the HU to the parrot is readily available and a plug in no cut fit.

If you go into disco3.co.uk and go into the electronics section there is a thread on who has them.

The accessory fitted kit is a plug & play device. There is no need to "enable" the device. It is basically a Nokia bluetooth module, steering wheel switches & wiring. Not hard to fit as I have fitted hunreds. It is only a bluetooth function & does not have phonebook memory of your device. It will memorise from memory 12 numbers you can store (its been a while) in the voice control.

If anyne needs one let me know. (Sorry admin if not allowed.)

Pete, is there a part number so that I can do a bit more research?

I'd like that as well. Is this device the genuine LR integrated version?

I seem to recall there were two bluetooth kits, one was the factory fitted integrated one and the second I am thinking is the one that sniegy refers to.

I think that the one offered on the Disco3.co.uk site is the fully integrated version hence why it needs to be enabled. I don't have that P/N sorry.

Apprarantly there are some "indies" as they call them there who have the nous and "kit" to do it but can't find anyone here who can so far.

Must be somebody about who knows how to do this surely?

Here is the link for the genuine LR Integrated Blue tooth kit.

VUB501152 | LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 3 BLUETOOTH INSTALLATION KIT | Land Rover | | Britcar (UK) Ltd (http://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.php/102217/0/land_rover_discovery_3_bluetooth_installation_kit)

VUB501152

and I think you also need the Voice activation module, I need to confirm that:

http://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.php/99155/0/voice_activated_bluetooth_tel_eng

LR006279 English language

and to get the module upgraded so it works correctly with latest smartphones :

Bluetooth Exchange (http://www.bluetoothexchange.co.uk/index.php)

I have been in touch with the dealer here in Brisbane to see if they can enable the software. Waiting on a call back.

Have been in touch with Northfield Sound at Moorooka who do a lot of prestige installs. Will discuss costs to do the actual install and weigh up if they do it or I try and do it.

It will all depend on if I can get dealer to enable this gadget.

Looks to be a VERY expensive excercise.
