Rear tailgate switch

Hi, is there a way to drive with the tailgate open, without the interior lights, and instrument display recognising it?

[Scouse]

You can turn the interior lights off (hold the centre button for a few seconds & the message centre will beep & show 'interior lights off') & the EAS will start operating after a few minutes of driving too. It's programmed to recognise that the tailgate might need to be left open for certain trips.
