Well I have found my retirement vocation. I suspected this for a while but it is now confirmed. When I go shopping with SWMBO I turn into a packhorse with a mastercard!!:):)

You're doing well, I'm just a trolley pusher.

While 'rushing' through our local mall the other day, my wife spotted a sign that stated something along the lines of..."Ladies... shopping with your husband is like poaching with the gamekeeper". Or words to that effect.
Needless to say, I am left blissfully unwanted on shopping trips. :D

I avoided going shopping with the Cook for many years but since retiring have found myself coerced into being the chauffeur many times under threat of doing my own cooking!:(
Now she's complaining I just go to perve on the other wimmin ......:o
Maybe she'll let me go to the pub instead. :p

Take a second to think this over. When not working , more often than not , I take control of most of the shopping , and cooking. Done in a male way , list and no detours or not needed goods. Therefor at the end of the month the grocery budget is in the black . Then no whinging if I buy myself some beer or records. SWMBO thinks she wins by getting out of these duties but I know I have won !

Am I the only old one here on grandparents duties?

My first post as a retiree who has recently gained an expensive hobby!! She "The Queen", is a silver Disco 2 TD5 with 250K Kms on the clock. Other than the "Three Amigos" she appears to be running very well. I haven't told "her what does" about the poor reputation some other brand 4wd owners put on LR vehicles. We will see who ends up in a grave first, me or my LR? Cheers E.

We are almost permanent baby sitters. 6y old, 4y old, and 14 mths. When you are in your late 60's and have some medical problems, this takes its toll.
