hi all.
I purchased my vehicle about 5 years ago from a farm in Armidale (see photos on purchase day), had it trucked down to home in Chatswood Sydney, and have been slowly taking it apart (very slowly).
Now it's apart, i am going through the components, getting things ready for eventual re-assembly.
Major progress has been the repair of the chassis, which had a break plus numerous smaller repairs/bad dings etc
I'll add further pictures as we go, but will have many questions along the way !

I've always wanted a S1. I lived virtually all of my childhood (am now 46) in a village called Knowle in England, 4 miles outside Solihull, so have always had an emotional attachment !
Chassis number: 57661437
It looks as though it's got a slightly later engine unfortunately: 170611187

cheers Paul

Hi Paul

I am in Chatswood as well with a 1955 57660966. Mine originally came from a farm in the Southern Highlands but then went to Melbourne where I had it picked up from. Mine is taking way longer than anticipated but I will get there.

We will have to compare notes one day.

My 55 has a chassis number of 57661223 with and engine number of 57110112. We are all the ballpark of having some original cars then.
