My method is old fashioned too. It's called a weather string.:)

You nail a piece of string to a post (outside of cause) and by looking at it, you can tell what the weather is like....

eg. If the string is wet.......it is raining.
If the string is dry........it's fine.
If the string is moving around.........it's windy.


Simples, really!!!!:p
