I am constantly amazed at the hidden features that land rover has placed into the disco,My latest find is the hidden coin storage compartment under the gearstick [possible auto only,But possibly an option on the manual] This is accessed by pulling up on the gearstick mechanism cover,Mine holds $19.35 and a key for the side gate [D2a possibly less for earlier\lesser:angel: models]It is even fitted with an indercator that locks the gearstick so that reverse and park can't be selected when the coin box is full:) what a great idea landrover.

Once I found a couple coins embedded in the mud I collected on a Glass House Mountains trip.

I only found $8.35 when I took mine off late last year :( Must be because it's an earlier model :D

I also think there is an overflow shute for the "hidden coin storage compartment"that shoots all the booty to between the consul and transmission tunnel,I need to investigate further,Perhaps it is mentioned in "rave"

is it only dollar coins that jam the linkages,You must have the euro model, different size coins.
I once bought a second hand commodore that had 2 used syringes under the back seat,Bloody things were blunt when i went to use them,

I struck it lucky, a roll of black electrical tape and a used tissue. The tape is handy as I will need to tidy up the under bonnet wiring.
