We have replaced both front air struts, right one sits about an inch lower.Left bag is hard, right one a fair bit softer, but has air in it.Took it for a drive hoping it would sort itself out,no luck.List to starboard is bareley noticable.Do not have diagnostic gear yet.Does it need to be told to level itself?Steering angle sensor is stuffed so height is frozen.could that be the problem?

When an airbag let's go and the car faults, it is a hard fault that needs resetting once the new air strut is installed. The fault will lock out the EAS system and isolate the corner that is stuffed. If you don't have access to any diagnostics, you can do a reset using the buttons on the dash. The procedure is listed in 'the good oil'
I'll find a link.

Tried that several times to no avail.Left button kept comong up "LOCK".Steering angle sensor i'm guessing? Now if you take the key out and put it back, key won't turn unless you take battery lead off and re connect.HELP
PS,looks like key fob battery is stuffed.

The key fob battery won't stop the key from working in the lock, only the remote operation of the doors. The transponder is passive and is read by the barrel. Once that is done, the car unlocks the steering and allows the key to turn. I have heard of the locking system jamming up - there are cables running between the key barrel, the shifter and the steering column. Can you here anything clicking when you put the key in?
It may be that it is trying to disengage everything, but sees it hasn't successfully done so, so throws a fault. There are threads about this on Full Fat RR, but haven't been over there for a while, so you might have to go hunting for them. Apparently it's not a hard fix, just some parts of the dash off and a squirt of lube. Maybe worth a try.

I've noticed that when i open the door,if there is a whole heap of clicking the key will work.If no clicks,no go.This has only happened after i tried to reset fault codes, which never came up in messages.Last night it played up as was first time it had been driven far after new struts.Took earth clamp off and put back on,fine.Left key in overnight, turned this morning.Took key out, closed door and tried again,no go.Removed and reconnected battery, clicks and works again.Battery terminal was not tight, have tightened it and have charger on.Seems to be working now,but will wait for a while and see:mad:
