Has anyone else had mega problems buying stuff from MadMan in South Africa???

Brian's service and email responses are fantastic, but their 3D Secure Credit card payment thingo is a PITA.

I have attempted to pay 4 times now, on 2 different cards and keep getting the same "3d Secure processing failed"

I have spoken to my CC provider and they tell me its on MadMans end, I have spoken to MadMan and they tell me its my end thats the problem.

Anyone have any similar experiences and any workarounds for purchasing from these guys???

Cheers.

Rob.

I had a similar issue in purchasing from a company in England.
The bank had no idea what the problem was. Either did the vendor. The only other link in the chain was Visa.
In the end, I used the details from old credit card that was superseded by the one I was using. Surprisingly that wotked.
I suspect Visa had computer problems.

Hmm, I had a situation a couple of years ago where I tried to buy from Paddock.
This secure card site came up , but didn't complete as with you blokes.

Soon after a fraudulent transaction came up on my VISA and I had to change card numbers.

I think that hackers intersperse themselves between you and the dealer to harvest credit card details.

So be vigilant in the near future that your credit card details have not been stolen as mine were.

Yeah, I had a look on Wikipedia and it said 3D secure was one of the most unsecure forms of CC payment around, and that it was succeptable to phishing and hacks...

Pretty poor they dont offer PayPal this day and age...

I have had a little experience in this field, one of the most common reasons for failed transactions was that your own personal credit card has been "tagged" by the CC company with a security rating that automatically stops online overseas transactions, you have to ask your cc company if this is the case and to remove the "roadblock".
