Plenum filter mesh.

I replaced my plennum filter with genuine Land Rover material a couple of years ago, unfortunately they don't last very long, mine had torn and perished beyond repair in that time.
I had some of that grey air conditioner filter material laying around, so I cut it to shape using what was left of the old one as a template.
I also recently replaced a fly wire screen with pet mesh, which is a thicker stronger fly mesh that can stand up to dog claws.
So I cut that to shape and fitted that, with the grey air conditioner filter underneath, and it looks so much better than the original Land Rover filter, a bit sporty even!
So if you replace a fly screen with pet mesh, might be worth hanging on to the off cuts.

I put mesh top and bottom of foam to try and contain foam when it craps.
I made a cardboard cutout for shape and next time I will use pet mesh.

Great idea Robert. I have done both the "duck pond filter" and "pet mesh" methods on my P38's but never through to combine them.
