Anyone have any experience with these snorkels?
Snorkel KIT Land Rover Defender 300 TDI TD5 | eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Snorkel-Kit-Land-Rover-Defender-300-TDI-TD5-/200881152767)
They seem very sensibly priced, but what's the quality like? I have a Safari on the Disco and only ever had only Safari snorkels to date.
Cheers

Hi Mike,
My last 90 in the UK (300Tdi) had the Safari copy snorkel fitted and by all accounts it's the same thing except for the Safari badge. It sealed so well that I could actually stop the engine by blocking the intake (without the head obviously).
I lived in Worcestershire and we did a lot of volunteer flood relief work when the Severn and Avon Rivers flooded and water over the bonnet wasn't an uncommon occurrence and I never had any issues.
Impossible to tell if its the exact same product we bought over there, but I would imagine it can't be too far off.
Cheers,
Lou

Thanks Lou!
That's what I was after :), it looks for all intents and purposes like a Safari, and the exploded view seems to have all the right bits 'n' pieces, but I did read somewhere about some cheap snorkels that were exactly that and not worth a damn. Hard to see in the pics but these seem to have "Defender" moulded in where "Safari" would be.
...and I would buy possibly the only 300Tdi in captivity without a snorkel :p
Cheers
Mike
