1st year of driving hasn't been too good for my young Kris. 1st the road rage incident that left his car a repairable write off. I fixed his car myself.
Then he gets a smashed door, by a hit and run out side out house.
Then 2 days ago the cops call at my place and get me out of bed. Asked if Kris had another car? Seems his car was found by night shift patrols left in the middle of the road. I ring Kris who was asleep at his girlfriends parents house, apparently his car was stolen during the early hours. He goes to recover the car and has to take it to another station for forensics. Whilst his car is finger print dusted, his girlfriend has a massive epileptic attack and hits the concrete hard, smashing her chin on the concrete and requires the cops to call an ambulance, she now has 8 stitches on her chin and may have a chin fracture.
Today he has an exam for uni, get's into his car and it won't start.
Anyone want to buy a good used recently roadworthied Nissan pulsar????

Sell the pulsar, get a perentite adf 110 and you can write it off on tax as an ad vehicle for your gear. Rock sliders will help with hit n run *******, you just need a kill switch and club lock so it's not flogged.

I'll put a good word in for Pulsars! :) Our Pulsar (93 model) was one of the best cars we have ever owned. Bought it for $3,000 with a RWC and 6 months reg. Had 200,000KM on the clock and never missed a beat. Sold it a bit ago as it was surplus to requirements - I even got a RWC for it - passed first go - the Mechanic was gob smacked. He said when he saw the KM on it, he thought for sure that it would need a ton of work, but he couldnt fault it. Sold for $2,000 with 300,000KM on it. Only things we did was tyres and brake pads. Good cheap motoring.
The new owner is a young woman in our town - I still see it regularly getting about.

We had a fleet of five 8 tonner UD trucks (Nissan) and they were the best, most reliable ones we ever had. Previous fleet trucks were Austin, Bedford, Dodge, Leyland, International (ACCO and C1800), Isuzu and Mitsubishi, so have no issue with Nissan.
This was all before Iveco and we never ever considered the three pointed devil (Mercedes-Benz). :D

Inc a college had a Vectra, another Camira in disguise:o
Seems the pulsars are so easily stolen, the Reg authority and police send owners a warning noticed .
Funny trying to solve the no start problem today,
No fuel being pumped.
I bought a haynes online manual it says re immoboiliser
19 Anti-theft system and engine immobiliser β general information
All models in the range are equipped as standard with a central locking system incorporating an electronic engine immobiliser function.
The electronic engine immobiliser is operated by a transponder fitted to the ignition key, in conjunction with an analogue module fitted around the ignition switch.
When the ignition key is inserted in the switch and turned to the ignition βonβ position, the control module sends a preprogrammed recognition code signal to the analogue module on the ignition switch. If the recognition code signal matches that of the transponder on the ignition key, an unlocking request signal is sent to the engine management ECU allowing the engine to be started. If the ignition key signal is not recognised, the engine management system remains immobilised.
When the ignition is switched off, a locking signal is sent to the ECU and the engine is immobilised until the unlocking request signal is again received.
Utter rubbish, the thieves used a pair of sissors in the door lock and then the ignition key hole. So where is all this immobiliser signal rubbish!
Sissors don't send secret signals. It is a fault in the system and what did nissan do about it ? no re all or anything in the past.

We had 2 litre wagons and Pulsars as Z cars at DSS. Damn good little cars if you are inclined towards little cars, stone reliable and fit big people. My opinion was that they were better cars than the Corollas we were also afflicted with.
I would never consider a Nissan UD truck. My opinion of them has always been that they are in the same class as Volvos, a truck for buyers who consider price foremost.

Yeah, he's nearly 7 ft tall so a soft top will allow extra head space:D
