facelifting

I have seen facelifting to MKIII (2002-)
I'm thinking of facelifting to disco2 (2003-2004)
did someone did it?
can it be done?
I feel like it would be easier then MKIII

I'm sure anything can be done but unless you're a craftsman with metal & plastic, the headlight conversions I've seen all look like......:spudnikhurler:

I don't understand why people want to turn the classic P38 style into the more ugly (IMO) L322 style.

Why not just buy an L322?
