Hi all
I'm new to 4wding scene. I've bought a 2006 Disco 3 diesel. Thought I should join the forum to learn from those with experience with this vehicle. I just bought an ARB compressor and would like to know if anyone has fitted one to left hand rear compartment in the boot? I have an auxiliary battery with Anderson plug outlet on other side and was hoping to use that for power? Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Pete

Welcome Pete,
 Glad you joined us.
do a search - there will certainly be others with experience in what you are trying to do.
Here is an example mounted under the bonnet: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/d3-d4-rrs/150329-arb-compressor-mounted-d4.html (D3 and D4 are very similar.)
 Enjoy your stay.

Welcome Pete,
Hope you have many enjoyable years of Land Rover ownership ahead of you.
Someone has done it, I've seen a photo of it somewhere either here or on the disco3.co.uk site, which is another great source of info if you haven't found it already.
If you have an Anderson plug already there, a second option is to just fit an Anderson plug to your compressor and still use it as a portable. I have done this as it was a lot simpler that mounting it and although it's not as neat as a permanent mount, it's still very easy to use - much better than having to get to the battery under the bonnet.
Cheers,
Jon

Thanks Mark and Jon,
Yeah I'm loving the Disco 3!!! Had a few issues getting a brake controller and reversing camera fitted by so called tradesman, but my brother and I managed to sort them out and get them working!!
I might is go with the portable set up for the ARB compressor, thanks Jon, just to get it going as quick as possible and get out there with the family and have some fun!!!
It's a wonderful group of people on this Land Rover forum!!!!:)

Couldn't agree more there! Coming from a BMW forum before I bought the D3, every time someone asked something, they were berated and told 'just search it', even if nothing appeared from this search. On here people will post direct links, offer advice and then invite you round for dinner when it's all done. Bloody fantastic!!
