A good mate rang me last Saturday morning and told me there was a box of Land Rover some power take off parts at the M'Grath's Hill weekly auction and if I wanted them, how much should he pay. He described the items to be the engage / disengage lever off the back. I said go to $200, sight unseen.

He had to wait for half an hour and for a bit over $16, he was bidding against the scrap dealer, this is what I finished up.

When I told him the ball park what the items bring on Ebay, he suggested I put one power take off mechanism on Ebay for his effort and I keep the rest - sounds fair enough to me.

Unfortunately the governor is missing the output shaft.

Can anyone identify the item with the 2 small pipes coming out of the unit maybe an oil pump?
