Any helpful suggestions with the following fault code that is dropping the car to restricted performance?
P023D-22 (2F) Unknown

Something to do with Manifold pressure maybe.
Look herehttp://remyaumeunier.chez-alice.fr/pdf/SAE--J2012-2007.pdf
These are just generic though not Land Rover. Don't know what the -22 (2f) means. I think the unknown means that the root cause is unknown.

Hi Daryl - how many km do you have on your D4? The MAP sensor might need cleaning.

My 3.0's MAP sensor has always been spotless - no carbon at all.

115k on the clock..
Is there an easy way of checking if things need cleaning?

Certainly seems to be related to the MAP. From Topix below.
     P023D-00
Manifold Absolute Pressure-Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Sensor A Correlation - No sub type information

Induction system air leak or blockage
Boost air system leak or blockage
Manifold absolute pressure sensor A failure
Variable geometry turbocharger actuator A sticking, failure
 Turbocharger A failure

Check induction system for leaks, blockages
Check boost air system for leaks, blockages. Check for related DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index

Check and install new manifold absolute pressure sensor as required

Check and install new variable geometry turbocharger actuator as required

Check turbocharger rod connection and oil seals

Its a correlation error so could also a faulty MAF or turbo although the 3.0 usually gets other MAF or turbo fault codes at the same time. Mine's MAP sensor failed abruptly but the fault code was specifically for the sensor rather than a correlation error. The 3.0's MAP sensor is the same as fitted to the later D3 2.7s so should be readily available if needed.

Check hoses for leaks and the airbox.

The MAP sensor is located in the top of the inlet manifold not far back from the throttle body. It has 3 wires in the connector. Do not poke anything into the sensor.

Fixed... Well bodged anyway..
Top air hose into front of engine split.. God knows how but a little rubber glue and duct tape.. Problem solved :-)
