According to the UN World Happiness Index, Australia ranks 10th for happiness (fifth for wealth, proving that money doesn't make us happy). But I think I want to be Dutch, for a reason you will discover if you read the link below. Do you agree?

The Dutch also have an extraordinarily good age pension.

Australians don't drink a lot of spirits. Add couple of buckets of genefer to the Dutch beer consumption for a true picture. Never met a Dutchman yet who wasn't a ****pot. A former colleague was in the embassy there for a couple of years. He loved a drink but had to give the locals best. He reckoned it as not so much about how much they drank but that they never seemed to stop from breakfast on. "Have a genefer with your coffee", "Finished your coffee. have another and here's another genefer. A beer and a genefer for smoko.

What I liked about Amsterdam were the girls on pushbikes. I dunno if it's because of riding pushies but I didn't see a fat young Dutch woman, they were all slim with great legs and thighs :) - unlike Oz where many young women have "great" thighs :( !

Clog Wogs. If I wanted to head in that direction, I would go to Sweden. They have the best looking girls.

While the Netherlands is the place to be a happy drunk, apparently Norway is the best place to retire. Australia only ranks 13th (despite being fifth on income).

If you plan to retire to Norge take lotza kroner with you. It is about the most expensive country in the world. Your Oz Age Pension will buy lunch and a bus ticket in Oslo.
