Hello again.
I have developed another fault. nothing serious, but it is a little frustrating.
I have been leaving the rear glass tailgate open when I've taken the dog out, and now, when the tailgate is closed, I sometimes get the tailgate open warning come up, even though it is closed.
Any one know where the sensor / switch is, or what the issue could be?
Thanks Simon

I haven't played around with a tailgate latch but I'd imagine there'd be a microswitch in the centre latch assy.

Are you sure the tailgate is closed? The latch has 2 positions & if it's a tight fitting tailgate, it can latch on the first position & feel latched closed although it's not latched fully.

Thanks, that was my thought.
It's defiantly closing ok. It'll be ok for a while, and then come on mid journey.
It was worse when the lower door was forced closed. ( spare in the back, but only just fits )
I'm thinking the switch must be in the lower door, in the centre latch. As I can't see any thing on the upper.

I read on RRNet once that on the latch which is on the lower tailgate has a plastic part ( latch ) and sometimes this is worn and if going over bumps etc it moves putting open message on......just a thought for you.
