What's a kls? Kilolitres? Sounds about right!:p

Anyway, your consumption could be anywhere between 20l/100km and 35l/100km depending on lots of factors. Most LPG fitters don't put very sophisticated LPG systems on D1s and the 3.9s are a serious gas guts in any case.

I used to get 20 lt per 100 kms out of my D1 seemed to be roughly the same city or country driving. Put a heavy trailer behind it and I found I was refilling a lot more often

Hi Lancer,

I've had the chance recently to do about 3,000km and record my LPG consumption. 1996 Discovery with 3.9 V8 and old style open loop LPG system. Results are;

consistently 5 km per litre (18 - 22 litres per 100km) towing a 8X5 single axle trailer driving conservatively at 95km/hr (country driving)
consistently 6 km per litre (16 - 17 litres per 100km) no trailer, driving conservatively at 100km/hr (country driving)
This is a 25-30% improvement on the gas consumption of my old Toyota FJ60 LandCruiser.

I'd expect 22-27 litres/100km with city driving.

But it is often all about driving style and engine tuning.

Hope this helps!?
