Aussie gum trees dont follow that rule.
They shed stuff at the drop of a hat or a puff of wind.

I have never understood the concept of having off spring, in a situation that you can't feed them or look after them. Why are we as some other spices do that. Some will not reproduce until it is safe for their of spring?.
