I blew a pimped my ride early D4 3.0lt in everything black in a traffic light GP in the middle of Perth today.It seems 1st on the 8 speed is much lower than 1st on the 6 speed,didnt even need to resort to sand mode(did select sport):D:D:D:D:D:D
I had the open lane so even if the darkside drew even they would have needed to back off or take the footpath or shoot me before running into a bus at a bus stop;);););),it was full of young non awestralians!!!
Absolutely nailed the 6 speed:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::co ol::cool:

Having had both the 6 speed and 8 speed in the RRS TDV8/SDV8 I think the six speed was a touch quicker of the first second or so but the 8 speed really gets going after about 3 seconds and the power just keeps coming.

Until you boot it and someone runs the red and you're T-boned :(

Seen it so many times - either impact or High potential...

I never leave the line quick any more unless there is absolutely zero vehicles on the intersecting road. Come way to close on too many occasions. :o

To paraphrase Crocodile Dundee. "You call that a traffic jam"

Try living in Sydney, I can't believe it's worse anywhere else, but maybe I'm getting cranky as I get older :p:p:p

Barrnet in his wisdom has created a big hole in Riverside Drive to create something called Victoria Quays.Traffic from Riverside Drive now use central CBD roads to get around the mess.
Its a joke!!!!

Was in Shanghai not long back. You're right - anyone complaining about traffic in Australia hasn't seen real traffic. :o

More like $200 per vehicle per year going by what I just saw on the news.

But I got stuck in peak hour traffic in Kalgoorlie this afternoon, so I can't wait to see how the new charges are going to help relieve the congestion up here. :p

So thats likely to be on top of the $100 a year that my cheapest rego'd car went up by this year. :censored:$300 increase to rego's in the space of two years would be just ****. Someone needs knee cap that idiot - voting him out just isn't enough!

Sounds like members of his own party - and Rob Johnston - are arcing up at him about this one. Don't like his chances of getting it through at the moment. ;)

First gear in the 8sp is much lower, hence when you leave it in Drive, or Speed, it will start in second.

If you want 1st, you have to manually select it while in Speed.

BTW - having recently had to drive a lowly 2.7l, 6 speed, I can tell you, there isn't much difference between them at all. :D
