Looking to buy a 2nd hand Camper in the weekend. How do you go about transferring ownership/rego bearing in mind will be the weekend? I'm fairly new to QLD and transport Dept. website not helpful.

Where abouts in Qld are you? you should have 14 days to transfer the Rego over, and from memory just make sure that the previous owner signs his section of the rego papers, or, take the rego papers and your receipt down to your local Transport Dept.or to local court house,as they can do it.
It's been a while since I have transferred a rego.

Unless it involves fishing or Rum, then it probably won't happen on a weekend in Qld. :D

Are there any forms that I need to get tomorrow or is just a case of using existing rego papers? Is a 7 hr drive to get it so want to make sure all the ducks are in line

What you need is the "application to transfer registration" available from Qld Transport centres or court house.

When I moved to Mackay I took my boat up from now and had to take the trailer in to be inspected and measured by them

Does the trailer have brakes? Does it have a gas installation? Unless the rules have changed a braked trailer needs a Safety Certificate (RWC) and if it has gas then a gas certificate from a licensed gas inspector.
