4 bolt steering box interchangeable

can anyone confirm if a 4 bolt disco 1 steering box is the same as a 96 130 defender 4 bolt?
Mine leaks pretty bad and disco ones are easy to find.

Just put a seal kit though it, its only about 40 bucks

Its leaking from both shaft seals.
Am i right assuming the kit will come with both?

Same box. Replace the seals , wont last long before its leaking again.

I think they are the same box, but pitman arm is different. And you may have problems separating that from the shaft! (But you need to do that anyway to fit a seal)

In most cases a seal replacement won't help for long. You can get a new box with the correct pitman arm for about $500
