View Full Version : P38 wheels on a D2

I just picked up a set of four P38 wheels with as new 245/75R16 tyres.

I'd like to just put them on my D2. I've done a search and it looks like they are interchangeable. Can any one confirm that the offsets etc are identical?

Many thanks.

Bob

They'll fit straight on but most are 8" (HSE).

7" would be preferable for 245s.

Any pictures or part number (on the rim)?

If you have the wheels and the D2 why not just get your jack and wheel brace out?

Offsets are identical. Dimensionally they are exactly the same as the D2 equivalents. ie the P38 16x8 is the same as the D2 16x8.

My D2 has 18 inch alloys and it is interchangeable with 16 inch steel or alloys. There should not be any problem putting either size wheels on both vehicles but it will pay to check a rangy at full wheel travel if fitting 18's
I am led to believe 16 inch wont fir a D3 due to the size of brake rotors

do you know if the 18 inch are the same? Most LP/P38 18s are the same as the D2, for example: Hurricanes were factory fit on both for some models.

All key specifications are the same except of course the diameter. 100% interchangeable. This is P38 and D2 rims only.

They handle like they're on rails with 245's on 8" rims though :P

Even had 235's on my car at one point (235/70-16's on 16x8's, just to wear them out).
