hi I'm looking at buying my first disco 2 - I have tracked down a "good" one near Brisbane city, but I am currently in the NT & won't be back in Qld. for about three weeks. I would love to get all the purchasing sorted, so when I get back I will be able to just pick it up. can anyone here recommend a mechanic or LR expert that might be able to do a pre-purchase inspection? I was going to just use RACQ, but would prefer to find someone familiar with the model. Also am a bit nervous reading post everywhere about people having big dramas, but still reading how many people love them as well! I am getting a mate to have a look at it, for overall condition, but don't want to put the pressure on him to decide for me.
any advise will be greatly appreciated

The only one I can think of on the north side is MR Automotive in Redcliffe. They maybe able to help you.


They are advertising on the radio too at the moment.

I have found TECHNO TUNE & TECHNO INTERNATIONAL that claim to be independent Land Rover experts that do pre-purchase inspections. I have sent them a message & will hopefully talk to them on Monday. anyone had any dealings with them & or any general comments that might ease my mind about buying a Disco 2?
