this was an air defence land rover that I have made into a camper. These are some of the photos of my Cape York trip September 2014. sorry but I don't know why some of the photos have gone sideways as they weren't when I uploaded them.

That 6X6 sure looks sweet mate..think I saw it at Nudgee Rd
Banyo QLD 4014 a few months back..I would have come over for a chat..but the boss was watching:o

Thanks, That pole bridge is something that's ingrained in my memory from reading my old mans overlander mags in the early 80s. Still have not been there though.

That was me at Nudgee road. The log bridge is on the Vrilya point track it is not the OTT log bridge.

Can the 6x6 go all the way up the Cape York track? All of the hard spots?

Good question!:)..the rear overhang[departure angle[ might let it down in some areas on the really steep stuff..

I only did a small amount of the OTT as one vehicle did not have the clearance for the deep ruts . The only problem I had was that the width of the 6x6 in the deep ruts pushed dirt in the beads of the tyres.

Roger that. The width is about 8" wider with stock tires. I wonder if a set (or 1.5 sets to be exact) of BFG KM2 MTs 255/85R16 would have the same issue.
